Class ScyllaGettingStartedWindow
Getting Started window that shows installed Scylla components, their dependency status,
and provides quick install or documentation actions for each dependency. Opened
automatically by Scylla.Core.Editor.ScyllaGettingStartedDetector (once per session when "Show on
start" is enabled, and on first install or when a new module is added) and via
Tools > Scylla > Getting Started.
Inheritance
Inherited Members
Namespace: Scylla.Core.Editor
Assembly: ScyllaCore.Editor.dll
Syntax
public sealed class ScyllaGettingStartedWindow : ScyllaToolWindowBase
Remarks
The window has two views toggled via style.display:
-
Main view - displays an animated ScyllaLogoElement,
an "Installed Modules"
MultiColumnListView(Status / Component / Version / Tier / Priority / Deps / Actions columns), a dependency hintHelpBox, and a color-coded dependency summary banner. Each row's Actions cell has a "Dependencies" button that navigates to the Detail view. -
Detail view - shows the selected component's dependencies in a
second
MultiColumnListView(Status / Package / Required / Version / Source / Actions columns) and a status legend at the bottom.
Package detection is performed asynchronously by ScyllaDependencyDetector. While the package list request is in flight the loading state label is shown and the Refresh button is disabled.
The footer row contains a "Show on start" Toggle (persisted via
Scylla.Core.Editor.ScyllaGettingStartedDetector) and a Close button.
Methods
OnCreateGUI()
Called after the standard layout (toolbar, content, status bar) is created. Subclasses override this to add their panels and controls.
Declaration
protected override void OnCreateGUI()
Overrides
OnWindowDestroyed()
Called when the editor window is destroyed (closed by the user, or programmatically
via UnityEditor.EditorWindow.Close()). Subclasses override to release resources or
clear persistent state. The base implementation is empty. Note that domain reload
triggers OnDisable but not OnDestroy; this hook fires only on actual
window destruction.
Declaration
protected override void OnWindowDestroyed()
Overrides
ShowWindow()
Opens the Getting Started window, centering it at 800 x 700 px on the main Unity Editor window. If the window is already open it is focused. The minimum size is 700 x 500 px.
Declaration
public static void ShowWindow()
